Title: Thumbnail issues
Post by: erviv on December 07, 2019, 07:03:04 am
Running MC25.0.114 on my rpi (buster).  MC system info shows I have 50 thumbnails missing.  However when I use options build thumbnails the action window says complete and doesn’t build any additional thumbnails.  I noticed that on the first run that I got an error message that some folders/files were locked and MC couldn’t build some thumbnails.  Don’t know why these files are locked, as I have not locked any files/folders.  I suspect this is related to my upgrade to buster from stretch.
As an aside on my rpi that is still running stretch I have no issues.  (As an aside I have a somewhat similar issue with cover art, in that on my buster version some cover art is missing compared to my stretch rpi, yet both pull from the same NAS).

Is the cover art embedded or are they folder.jpg files or something like that?

For the most part my cover art is embedded. I do have MC set up to also save cover art in a file. If there is a way to check for specific files where cover art is kept I can check.

I just got back after almost 2 years absence from MC amd64.
My cover arts are stored in same folders as the mkvs.
I  did some imports to find out that no thumbnails.
These files have cover arts on them in 2017.
Any idea as to what is going on ?
Thanks.
George.

Does MC remember which thumbnails could not be built, so that when I rerun build thumbnails it immediately says complete, even though a number of them are not?
