Title: Anything Better than Perfect?
Post by: ttan98 on February 07, 2020, 12:43:10 am
Did you read the Wiki article? I mean, properly read and understand it?

Do that, then read this: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,124041.msg858884.html#msg858884

If you still have questions, start a new thread where we can discuss your specific issue, rather than tack on to this new features thread.
Thanks for the info.

Another 2 questions please, I think these questions must be asked at least 10's if not 50's times already, but I am NOT a regular on this forum. I found after version 20 to 21 the sound quality improves quite a lot, do you think audio 'enhancer ' software such as Fidelizer do further improve the sound?, Also besides features enhancements(must be many) from version 21 to version 26 do you think there is any more PERCEIVED  audio enhancements to audio reproduction.
An honest opinion is most welcome. Thanks.

No, in my opinion apps like that are audiophile snake oil. That, and JRiver doesn't support the use of those third-party enhancer apps being used with JRiver Media Center.

No, as per Awesome Donkey's response.

At least one user raved about the improved sound in MC26. But perception is subjective, so really it is up to the listener to decide. There have been some audio functional improvements since MC21, such as Sox and additional dithering options. The Release Notes (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Release_Notes) have the details, and there is at least one thread around here that discusses functional changes. One example: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,123181.msg853192.html#msg853192

You can download and run MC26 in trial mode for a month. Why not get it and try. Just make sure that you set up the new features and all other audio settings to get the best sound from your sources.
