Do these particular ithings play well with MC?

Bumping this hoping for answers.  Just received a HomePod mini.  Haven’t opened the box.

Does anybody know how (or whether) it will integrAte with MC?

you can “play to it” from JRemote or Panel by setting your output speaker in ios to your homepod.  basically using it like an airplay speaker.  so while it does not show up as a device in media center, you can connect your ios device to it and play that way.  effectively you play to your device but the audio is played on the homepod.

since homepod supports airplay you could set up tuneblade if MC is on Windows, which can be used to create an airplay zone in Media Center and then you can play to it that way as well.

we do this all the time.

I'm using MC 28 on a 16" MacBook Pro silicon M1 chip. I tried the path posted by "TheShoe":  choosing Airplay to my mini AirPod and the sound still comes out of the MBP speakers.  When I play music from Apple Music, the sounds comes out of the mini AirPod. Am I missing a step in the settings/options?  With MC, I also had the same problem choosing Airplay to my Devialet Dione soundbar, and again, it works fine when I play Apple Music.
