Title: Limit on number of MC23 Client?
Post by: tdot on March 06, 2021, 11:53:46 am
Hi, I am new to this forum.  So, first and foremost, hello!

I have MC23 installed on 3 Windows PCs.  I have them all set up identically as both Server and Client (except the DLNA access key, which is unique for each).

I find that at any given time, I can only see "Player" and only one other MC client in "Playing Now", while the second MC client is missing.  This happens on all 3 PCs. And which "one other MC client" shows up depends on which machine I start MC first.

Is there a limit on how many MC client can be connected?

Thanks in advance.

Make sure each PC has a different access key with Media Network (MC's Options > Media Network section) - if the access key is the same on each client that could cause a conflict. If they are all the same, on two of them click on Access Key and select Reset... to change it to a different one. Other than that, you might want to double check firewall/router settings and things like that.

The access keys are unique.  See first post.

Firewall is fine too.

Let's say if the machines are called A, B and C.  A see C, and B sees C.  Be can only see A if I turn off C.  And they all show similar behaviour when machines are turned on and off.
