Title: Truly a Bad Day
Post by: JimH on March 26, 2021, 07:17:52 pm
When you or someone you know thinks they're having a bad day, give a little sympathy to the poor pilot who plowed his container ship into the side of the Suez Canal and is now affecting the global economy.

Could only read a few seconds before the Beastwall kicked in, but it's interesting to see that container ship length is measured in Empire State Buildings by the Beast, whereas Canadian media are using SI units of Eiffel Towers.

CNN article said the ship is 59 feet wide... While correctly saying 1300ft long. A large toothpick, basically.

Journalists seem to find numbers and conversions particularly hard.

Edit - found it:

Luckily they got it out now. After 6 days of being stuck. Must feel bad.
