Title: Media Center 28.0.83 on Raspberry Pi OS 'Bullseye' can't run DVD .ifos in JRVR
Post by: duncan4791 on November 13, 2021, 08:43:49 am
Media Center 20.0.83 finally will finds the video_ts.ifo file and correctly identifies the movie information. It shows up in the Recently Imported list but, it doesn't add the movie to the library video section. It will not play the file or any .ifo using JRVR on Raspberry Pi OS 64bit 'Bullseye' on an 8G Pi 4. Included is a log file showing Jrvr's failure to load and draw a window. Blueray and mkv files load and play, though Blueray is sluggish. VLC has no problem with DVD files or directories.

DVD IFO playback is not supported on Linux currently.

Then why does the changes thread for 28.0.83 say "6. NEW: Support for DVD playback with Red October JRVR." if Linux doesn't play .ifos. Video_TS.ifo is the start file for a decrypted DVD. Is this a problem for x86 Linux or just Raspberry Pi OS?

Red October is a Windows-only concept, it was included in the Linux changelog accidentally.
