Title: Undelete songs
Post by: edjohnny on March 21, 2022, 11:14:07 am
Is there a way to recover the songs that were inadvertently removed from the library but are not deleted from the system?

if not, where is the library file located so it can be deleted>  A newbie at our church deleted all of the songs from the library (first option) and we cannot get them back into the library no matter what we have tried...

Re-import them.  There is an option to include deleted files.

... or restore library from backup IF you know you haven't imported new files after the deletion AND you have library backup file from just before deletion i.e includes all your files.  File->Library->Restore Library

Maybe re-importing is safer if you are unsure

I am not finding a button/checkbox to tell import to include everything available

Go to your Auto-Import settings, click on each folder you have configured, and de-select the option "ignore files previously removed from library".

Alternative method: you can see the deleted files in MC by searching for this: ~d=r
Then just delete them again ("remove from Media Library"), and now then can be reimported again.
