Title: best audiophile setting to network streaming to a DAC over network

Hi
How do I check/ know I have the best audio method/settings when streaming Flac files to a DAC over my network? Are some ways better than others? The PC is upstairs and the DAC is in the living room. streaming over cat6 cable. How do I see it's playing the best resolution/ quality possible? What settings should I be checking?
