Title: Edge Webview logged into MC28 but not MC29?
Post by: David Sydney on August 03, 2022, 03:47:53 am
When using MC29 and trying to log into Youtube site, it reports the browser is not secure. Meanwhile when running MC28 it does or has allowed me to log into the youtube site? What has changed and can it be fixed?

No-one has information? It is the same Edge Web engine right - if so why would it be different.

Antivirus?  Configure Windows Defender.  Uninstall any other AV.

Youtube continues to get less open.

I'm surprised it worked in the first place, Google blocks embedded browsers from logging into YouTube. I suspect if you log out/delete the cookies for the WebView2 instance used in MC28 that it won't log back in.

Low and behold.. I go into Youtube page the other day (~ start Oct) and tried again... now the page allows logging in and does not give me the message. Also holds the log in between sessions. I have not changed anything with defender or anything else of note. Not sure if JRIver has changed anything that  would positively impact this?
