Hi
Playing a ripped DVD on MC29.0.86 PC 32Bit failed with the error message: assertion failed
File:/ src/src/d3d11/gnu_pass.c
Line 701
Expression: (vs_str.len ==0) (ps_str.len == 0)
Has to do with visual C++
On the 64Bit version it works (MC29.0.86, 64Bit)

Video settings?

Hi
what do you mean with video settings?
I just play the video in JRiver after I rip it.

The wiki has video topics. This is probably enough:

Hi
in MC29.0.86 PC 32Bit I used the default setting (didnt change anything, factory default).
Tehn I installed MC29.0.87 PC 32Bit and it failed. I assume the video settings are kept from MC29.0.86 when I install an upgraded version.
I may try again. However as the 64bit version of MC29.0.87 PC works I am wondering what is the cause. Looks to me a software code problem.

I think this happens because you are mixing 32-bit and 64-bit. You can delete the JRVR cache file in C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\J River\Media Center 29\Cache\JRVR and the error should go away, as long as you stick to one version for video playback.
In a future version, we'll make sure the files don't overlap.

Hi
okay, thanks I will try this.
