Title: can't read a thing
Post by: ramblinflebro on April 03, 2007, 12:07:45 am
All wording on tabs and drop down menus are nothing but squares. I can't read a thing. Can someone tell what I have done to create this problem and how can I correct it? Thank you

Could you have accidentally changed the language?

You can verify it by going to: tools-->language

BTW: if memory serves me correctly, the language option used to be under View-->next to skins.  If you don't find it under tools, check here.

The Tools menu is (unless you've changed it) the 5th menu item on the top of the screen. The Language menu is the third item from the bottom of the Tools menu. English is the 4th item in the Language sub-menu.

You may have changed your fonts to Wingdings or something like that. Go to the Tools menu (as above), then Options (the very last item in the Tools menu). Then, select Tree & View (the very last item in the list in the left hand area of the Options dialog) and in the right hand area Select Font, which is the very last item in the right hand area of the Options dialog (once you've selected Tree & View).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for keeping these old posts.  I accidentally changed the language to chinese and am very glad for this old post.
