Title: MC takes forever to save tags to network mounted drive

This is an age old problem that I gave up on long ago - but my new smoking fast computer and the fact that MC doesn;t seem to take advantage of it leads me to ask again. :-)

Does anyone know why tagging operations take so long on network mounted drives?

CPU utilization at 6%, Network Utilization at 1%, but tag changes take upwards of 5 seconds each to complete.

No other program or process has problems with my Network Server.

Has this been fixed in 13 or 14? Time to upgrade?

I've had this same problem forever as well. It just crawls for some reason with the CPU utilization very very low. Was there ever an answer?
