Is the list of new features comprehensive? As someone who uses MC as the core of my HTPC, I'm wondering if there are other improvements to Theater View... Like improved layouts (esp for Movies), better customizability, or a more serious theater view skinning capability so that position/presence of items, fonts, etc could be adjusted.

Also looks like some other seriously useful improvements too.

The link for carnac doesn't seem to work ... but if auto tagging can look at the path of a file and auto-tag the sub-type, genre, grouping and series, then MC17 is what I have been waiting for...

As far as I see, V16 libraries are compatible with V17, but not the other way around. Not sure if that has changed since I checked a few builds ago.

Post by: jmone on October 20, 2011, 02:38:50 pm: The upgrade is pretty painless, it is going to automatically read your MC16 library and settings to create the MC17 one. You will have to re-setup any Theaterview Veiw Schemes but that is about it. ;D
