Title: JRemote setting Volume limit
Post by: The Legend on June 02, 2014, 03:10:17 pm
Hello to everybody !!
I have an Assetnas with Akurate Ds and a Majik Ds as power amplifier.
I use JRiver MC18 on the Assetnas and JRemote as remote control on the IOS devices.
I'm very satisfied about the JRiver but I have a problem, I need to limit the volume on the JRemote because I'm afraid my kids could raise the volume on this app and my speakers will explode.
I'm sure you understand guys ....
Please help me, thank youuu,
Giorgio  ;)

If you are using Internal Volume control for that zone (Tools → Options → Audio → Volume → Volume mode) you should be able to enable Volume Protection, and set a Maximum Volume Level.

These will limit the maximum volume level possible, and limit the rate of change. (+5% per second)

With the combination Akurate DS + Majic DS, the Volume Protection and Maximum Volume Level don't work.
I tried all options of audio volume.
 :'( :'(

While I was listening if it works I find out a new problem, much bigger, the quality of sound if the tracks are played directly from Majik DS is much better than If I use Akurate and Majic as amplyfier.
I didn't expect this thing, this means that the two machine are not working properly.
I will open a new post to see if other users notice that.

Thank youuuu
