Title: Swipe to add to playlist?
Post by: 6233638 on October 30, 2014, 11:14:43 pm
I must say that I'm confused by this option.
Tapping on a track already adds it to the current playlist, and typically this swipe behavior is reserved for deleting items.

The option also appears when you swipe to delete an item from the Playing Now list, which doesn't make much sense. (add an item to the playlist, which is already in the playlist?)

But more importantly, it seems to have replaced the swipe from the right edge of the app to quickly bring up the current Now Playing list.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. "Add to playlist" adds to a playlist file, not the current now playing list.

I'd suggest making the pop-up for playlist selection a full-screen view with a cancel button though, rather than a pop-up menu.
Perhaps it's just the smaller size of the 4s screen but it feels very out of place to have a menu look/behave as it does on iOS.

It should open as full screen view on iPhone 4s. I donīt have a 4 inch iPhone here at the moment, but in the simulator it opens full screen.
Only 6 and 6+ should use the popup instead.

Please verify that this is indeed an issue.

It's fullscreen if I select the option in a navigation list (browsing albums/tracks) but displays as a menu if I select the option in the Now Playing list. (where I tested it earlier)

I dont see any add button after left swipe, just delete button. Both on now playing and artist/album view. Any suggestions?

Ah, that`s an oversight on my part. Will be changed for next version.

The issue here is that you are probably using iOS 7. The current implementation of the swipe feature require iOS8.
Sorry, should have mentioned this in the release notes.

For the next version I will add this button in the popup menu for iOS7 users.

Hi,

When I swipe left and add a track to a playlist the playlist doesn't show the track. The playlist is new and remains empty no matter how often I swipe left and add a track. (Yes, it does tell me that it has added the track to the playlist). I have JRemote 3.09 and IOS 8.x on both my Ipads and JRiver 20.0.27/33 on my PCs. What am I missing?
