Title: net framework screws up JRiver Video
Post by: mschneid on April 22, 2015, 10:29:16 pm
I have discovered that installing microsoft net frameworks stops video playing in MC 18 on an XP os  (Two different old machines over a period of a few years actually)

I wound up using a remove all net frameworks tool and this restored jriver video playback.

Does anyone have any idea how far up the net frameworks  versions I can go before this happens... or in fact what the issue is?

There was some level of net frameworks already installed that allowed MC to play videos....   When I went about upgrading... that's when I lost video....

file it under odd ball problems.

AT least  net 1.1 can be installed without a problem on xp   not sure if going up to 4.0 is worth the aggravation....  I know my file synch program wants 2.0 at least... that is what started this PIA.
