I think we'd need to get NASA involved in that.

It shouldn't be that complicated to provide examples of graphics adapters that meet each of your four categories, i.e. low-end integrated, high-end integrated, mid-range dedicated, and faster dedicated. If nothing else, you could list the graphics adapters that were used when testing JRVR and writing the Quality Preset descriptions that use this categorisation.

Hello. I understand that the Nvidia shield uses ExoPlayer to play the files and that the problem I described lies with ExoPlayer’s inability to process 96kb audio files. Does JRiver use a proprietary player? Thanks.

FYI: Just read on FB where the SoundSpectrum visualizers are in the process of being updated. Hopefully this will resolve the issue shortly.

Yes but if you are playing a Blu-ray on a matching display then they are not relevant so it doesn't matter. playing a uhd, now it matters (tone mapping mainly but also downscaling

So in these circumstances I would see no difference between Red October Standard and Red October JRVR?

If so, it looks like I don't really need anything better than integrated graphics on my new laptop as far as my planned use of MC is concerned. That will save me some money :)

I'm no expert on this topic, but the JRVR Wiki mentions a lot more benefits than upscaling. Do those other features make many demands on the GPU?

First impressions are positive. Attention to detail is very high indeed, and, I've a fair idea how much time this will have taken. Really enjoying the "seamless" approach you have taken with this. Very good. I'll run with it a few days, see if I can break it ;)

I probably won't use it as-is full-time though because in some places, such as the tag window, the high black/white contrast is just too much for me.

To manually install libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 there's two other dependencies it has you need to install with it. You have to manually install these three from the mantic-updates repo in order to get MC32 to install...

libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37, libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18_2 and libicu72

Probably better to wait for a MC32 update to hopefully address this.

Thanks! This worked perfectly.

So you just playing 1080p content to a 1080p display? Not sure there is much for it to do in that case
