After updating the JRemote app I am not able to connect MC21 anymore. My IPhone with the old 3.10 version is still working, both my IPad air 2 and mini are down. Anyone any ideas, WebGizmo for instance is working fine.

I will split this to a new thread.  Check the setup instructions again.

This is likely to be a setup issue (possibly your port forwarding is messed up). Works fine here.

Got this sorted out, was a port forwarding problem. If you use a port other than the default,
installation of MC 21 changes it back to 52199.
So with iPhone 6 plus (IOS 9) and MC 21 with JRemote 3.2 everything seems to be working fine (audio)
over WiFi or LTE

I installed JRemote for iOS 9 on my iPad mini and my iPod. While I still can play audio files from my library, I can't get any video to play. When I click on a video, the player opens but never starts playing. This used to work just fine. My server runs Win10 Pro with JRiver 21.

I'm having the same problem starting yesterday with JRemote 3.2 update for iOS 9.0

Hi there,

Sorry to post this question in this thread. Just updated the iOS 9 and jremote update. And could not get to the settings tab to add new music servers. It is just me or do others have the same issue. Thanks for the update and keeping current with the OS

IOS9/iPhone6: Same Problem here. The App starts, but allways get a "could not connect to JRiver xyz" (4 different servers, all works fine with ios 8.4.1 and JRemote 3.10 on a different IOS-Devices).

Could not access the "Settings" to proof and change anything

If you have the latest version of JRemote, then it is probably a firewall or networking problem.  Please try reading the setup instructions again.

Which settings are you trying to change?  Where?

Actually, looking at my screenshot, the text on this page should probably be changed. It says "Tap the blue arrow" which used to be true, pre-iOS7 (though it has also had the standard i-in-a-circle icon as well).  But now post-iOS7 it is a gray arrow with the i icon.  That might confuse people because there IS a blue thing in the MC logo on the left and if you tap on that, it connects to the server instead of editing the settings.

So, you should probably change that text to say: Tap the for more server options...

The reason I asked is that we had gotten the beta stuck in a place where we couldn't access the settings (with one non-reachable server listed) so I was hoping you had some magic we couldn't see on our test.
We fixed it by deleting the beta and installing the current build from the app store (which should be the same build).

I have not seen that, but of course, I was not running the beta.

I also updated to iOS9 on my iPad and running JRemote 3.2.  Everything works fine directly out of my Mac Mini, but I can't get connected with the iPad anymore.  The first message I get when opening JRemote on the iPad is "You have no servers configured.  Click settings in top left corner to add your first server."  When I click the 'gear' in the top left I get 'Settings'  'Add a new server'

When I try to connect using the access key, server username and password that once worked, now they don't.  Three IP addresses are found, music server is located, but then I get a "Could not connect (Access key mismatch, wrong server)" message.

What's up with this?   ?

Try turning Media Network off and back on.  That will generate a new Access Key.

Tried that.  No good.  Doesn't recognize my username and password.

Media Network settings on the server.

And the server is my Mac Mini where the music library resides?  Sorry, this is really new to me.

It's the machine you're trying to connect to.

When I get into the Media Network tab in JRiver I can see a username and password line in the area where the access key is shown that shows my username, but the password is masked by *****.  Is there a way to make the password visible?

On second thought.  Maybe I'll write JRemote off as too complicated and use Splashtop to control the MacMini from the iPad.

He wasn't being sarcastic; that's actually the answer: you reset the password by clicking on the authentication option.  If you click on it twice (disable/reenable) a dialog box opens and you can change the password to whatever you want it to be.

Please describe in more detail.

I updated to iOS9 on my iPad, noticed JRemote would flash on, then off. Figured it was not reading the new OS  Installed newest 3.20. That got me in.  But now, when I open JRemote on the iPad I get the 'Not Connected' screen indicating the version (3.20) and a message that "you have no servers configured click settings in top left corner..."    When I do this the 'Settings' screen pops up.  When I click on "Add a new server" and then "Connect with Access key" then enter access key, username and password shown in JRiver 'Media Network'  I get a message that three IP addresses are found (these are my wifi, router; my Ethernet, MacMini; and a third one, not sure what it is) , but at the end of a chain of messages that appear to be the JRemote trying to connect is the message "Could not connect (Access key mismatch, wrong server)".  I've turned everything off and back on, twice.  I've changed the password and tried again.  Nada.  Always the same.

Lets single step this.
On whatever PC you are trying to use JRemote to connect to, in MC do
Tools->Options->Media Network->click on the access key->Reset
This will generate a new access key.
Turn off authentication.
When that's finished, add a new server in JRemote plugging in that access key.
Delete the other server you had in there so there is only one.
Now can you connect?
If not, check the connect log and the addresses. One address should be your public IP, the other should be the lan address of your target machine. There shouldn't be a third UNLESS the machine you are running MC on has more than one interface active.
