My PC is connected 7.1.  I can set up room correction on JRiver or on Realtek soundcard utility.

which one should I use to set up speaker distance and levels?

besides JRiver I sometimes use KODI.

does one sound better than the other to you, which is the simplest to use. I use MC to do this, I have zones set up for movies and I increase the center speaker for movies. this way i only have to choose the zone I want to use.
