EPG View
« on: March 13, 2016, 08:00:21 pm »

I would like a better view of the EPG in standard view.
The theater view of the guide is much better, but is only really a copy of what's on most TVs.

I have been using software called webscheduler for TV recording for many years.
Here is a screen capture (attached) of the EPG view in that program, IMO it's is much more usable

It enables all the channels to be seen in one screen shot, and IMO more logical scrolling of time down the screen

Any chance of getting a similar view option in JRiver?

Sensible suggestion.

Should keep Yaobing busy for a while.

Standard view does need some love.

But I personally i prefer getting away from the epg all together.

With android tv you favorite the channels and shows that you like.
It shows you them with there metadata cover art.

Is you see the stuff you like first. Then you can go and channel surf an epg.
It's also easier to mix in different source of content. Now that there are so many other sources for content.

Standard View.... doesn't matter to me. Whatever Brad likes is fine. I only care about Theater View.

The screenshot Castius provided would be a nice as a "second view type" in Theater View.
JRiver has a nice guide. Yes, it could be improved some (see the new Kodi Guide here http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=102758.0).

But everyone has a different opinion when it comes to aesthetics - so no matter what is done, someone will complain.

Good Luck JRiver.
