Just got back from my pre-moving trip to Australia, where i bought a lot of music and tagged on a laptop using MC

when i got home, i was moving into the main collection and noticed that the tags didn't transfer!  however when i look at them with the laptop, i can see them

but...it's not all tags, just date (released) and Country

then while going back to re-tag, i noticed in my smartlist that multiple other albums that i tagged a while ago have reset their country and date (released) tags!

any ideas?  during retagging, i'm making sure i update library from tags after every 100 or so files, but i have a lot of work to do!

Metadata can be tricky and annoying. What filetype are you tagging? If you're ripping, keep in mind that AIFF retains all metadata. Jaikoz is an application designed solely for metadata tagging. It can even provide the mixing engineer, producer, floating point bpm, acoustical fingerprint id, catalog number. It's very solid!
