Bought new 30G iPod yesterday tried the apple and MMJB software and could never get the artist, album and song features to upload into the iPOD (PC OS is running ME). So deleted the apple ipod software and the MMJB software. Was about ready to take the iPOD back. Luckily found the ipodlounge for help and then stumbled across the MC9 software being mentioned and decided to try.

Installed it (MC9) and the MP3 encoder and this software is so much better... user friendly and when uploading it correctly enable the ipod with the artist, album and song features.

BUT one BIG problem... uploaded 3 albums (one at a time) and found that 2 songs were omitted and one album deleted (but still see it in the handheld drive list but is not on the iPOD) and on another album it uploaded all songs but 2 (also repeated the process). Am running compression at 192K and high quality. What is doing this or what can I try.

What version of MC are you running? If not 9.1.238, please get that version from here..

Can you play the songs that were omitted from within MC? The files may not be valid and trying to play them will confirm this.

Could you post further iPod support issues here...
