Hi,

I have an sporatic problem when JRiver plays automaticaly the next track of an album over DLNA, the track is played like crushed / mixed / desynchronized, you can recognize the track but it's not listenable for more than 5 seconds.
In this situation I have to stop and relaunch the track.

This problem appeared after 6-8 month of using MC20 with the same network player. I've done many steps to try to solve this issue but couldn't get rid of it for the moment.

I reinstalled completely W7 on the dedicated PC and switched to MC21 but it didn't helped.
I've browsed your support topics and deactivated all antivirus software but the issue still occurs.

I captured and stopped the logs juste after it happened today (in attachment), I hope it will help to identify the issue.

Right click on the renderer and select "Disable SetNext support"..

Does the log file indicated this problem or is it through your experience ?

I switched off this option and and at the same time don't have anymore a gapless playing.

Does it means that my network player has a techical issue as written behind this option ?



If yes I think that it is still under warranty and I have to contact the dealer !?

It is a guess based on experience. And not from the log file. Question: Did it fix the problem?

I can't say for the moment, I need some days to see if it's stable like this. I'll give a feedback in all case !

I don't know for the moment where the problem is (hardware or software) but I don't really see this setting as a real solution as I'm loosing the gapless functionnality of my quite expensive network player 

I also tried to replace the network cable and the switch with no success, I've nearly tried all I could to solve this issue with my IT support skills...

May be the issue is on the side of the network player, all was working perfectly before this issue appeared a few month ago.

I suspect your issue is that when your renderer is downloading the current and the next tracks in parallel at the same time, the data stream of the track is being munged. I am pretty sure that this is not an issue with the MC server. I am guessing that your renderer has a problem buffering two streams to memory at the same time. It could be a horsepower or software limitation in the renderer (multi tasking), a memory access problem, or even a hardware problem (bad ram chip)...

Hi,

It seems that your feeling is right, I continued my crossed checks and have now other troubles by using other upnp servers (Synology, Foobar) and upnp controllers on this same network player : it doesn't switch to the next track.
Actually JRiver is the only one getting the next track played when it's not bugging on that action !

You can consider my issue as not related to JRiver, thank you very much for your help, the network player is surely taking the road to the manufacturer soon.
