slideshow with music stoping
« on: August 01, 2016, 07:20:11 am »

I am not sure were this should go so please feel free to move it if needed.  I have the latest version of MC21.  The .90 version.  This has been happening for the last two or three upgrades for MC21.  When I am listening to music, whenever the slideshow comes to an image that is an album cover, it just stays on that image.  It does not move.  The music still plays but the image stays on the album cover.  I have to go to the display option then exit that and it works again until it hits another album cover.  Has anybody else experienced this or am I the only one.
Thanks

Hi, there's been quite a few posts on this problem

Work has finished on MC 21 so I doubt it will be fixed now

Version MC 21.0.80 works OK if you search for it and install it

I have version MC 22 and it seems to work on for me but I read that others are still having problems

Ran MC22 for some 8 hours at a party on Saturday night and it worked perfectly

So if I go back to .80, version it should be OK.  Or try my luck with MC22 and see what happens.  Version 80 sounds about right as the last time it was working right.  Thanks for the info.

Deleting the "folder.jpg" file has cured it every time.  Artwork is saved in the Flac file and evidently causes a conflict in MC21 with the folder.jpg file in the slideshow.  I have kept the artwork tagged in the file and deleted the folder file and it appears to fix the problem.

OK.  I admit that sounds a bit complex and risky to me, since I am not sure where that folder is.  I don't want to have to start re naming stuff
or putting the artwork somewhere else and then try and read from that.  I am not that comfortable in doing something like that.  Thanks for
the fix though.

Thanks.
It has happened on all my artists, not just one.  TBH, These work a rounds seem like a lot of work.  And I don't want me fixing this
to break something else.  I will just deal with it for now and just go to the display option and then exit out of it.  It also seems that
MC22 might sometimes have the same issue so that would be a shot in the dark.
