[22.0.15] Crash while attempting file conversion
« on: August 24, 2016, 01:41:27 am »

I am attempting to convert a set of 6-channel FLAC's to APE. This causes the dreaded "JRiver Media Center has stopped working" immediately upon beginning the operation in question.. I am assuming this is a bug. What do?

AFAIK .ape doesn't support multichannel.  are you trying to go down to 2 channel?

Ahh, so that's why. I just checked; APE doesn't support more than two channels, and no, I'm not trying to downmix. But, no big deal, I suppose. It's not like having an album in FLAC is making my heart bleed. I just wasn't expecting that.

Nevertheless, this shouldn't cause a crash; if anything, MC should just tell me that it won't work and cancel the operation. I'd still treat this as a bug report.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

Hopefully the crash will be fixed next build.  Thanks for the heads-up.
