« on: December 02, 2016, 06:00:33 am »

I have a converter USB to SPDIF based on the chip XMOS. I would want to bitstream audio ac3/dts but i don't know how to make it works, because i get an error message if i enable bitstream spdif from jriver

I think you can't bitstream into the USB to SPDIF converter because the ac3/dts needs to be decoded. You and only output the lpcm after it has been decoded by JRiver. Bitstream is for an AV receiver that can decode the bitstreamed signal.

But the spdif is connected to an av receiver that could decode the bitstream ac3 e dts. The problem is that seems to be impossible to bitstream with a xmos converter.
I can bitstream with the spdif of the motherboard, but not with the xmos spdif

No, the USB converter can not pass ac3 dts. The motherboard can. I think you would encounter the problem with most USB converters.
