Tagging music files ripped from blu ray and dvd
« on: December 10, 2016, 07:42:45 am »

I have been ripping titles from blu ray and DVD using makemkv in order to preserve the video and audio quality of the original music videos.
Once I have ripped a complete concert , I then use mkvmerge to extract the chapters and store them as a set of tracks in the same way I do with cds.
The resulting mkv file does not contain any tag data.
I then create an xml file in the format shown in the matroska samples for a single video track.
I merge it with the mkv file.
Using media monkey I can see the properties appear.
When I load the same track file in jriver it doesn't appear to read any metadata.
Does jriver not support mkv tags? If it does I'll,post my xml files for perusal...
Thanks in anticipation
