My library in MC22 contains: 21 genres, 1537 albums  and 1842 artists, stored on a Synology NAS.
JRemote on my iPad shows: 21 genres, 1537 albums..... but only 358 artists!

When using the Search function on JRemote, it does find the artists which are not shown, but even after playing a song of that artist, the artist still does not appear on the artist list. What could be the problem?

Problem solved!
The list of 'Artists' shown in JRemote was actually the list of 'Album Artists'. Any artist who only appears on multiple-artist albums (collections) is not recognised as 'Album Artist' and therefore not shown.

Solved in JRiver by clicking Tools - Options - Media Network - Advanced - Customize views for JRemote..... and select 'Artist' instead of 'Album Artist'.
