Please remove [ALT]+[SPACE] to launch iTunes SDK
« on: January 09, 2017, 05:33:10 am »

Not sure why it took me so long to make this post, but very often I alt-tab back to JRiver from another program and hit spacebar to resume playback.
For whatever reason, JRiver sometimes keeps the menus focused from one of the alt presses.
When I hit spacebar to play, it then launches iTunes.

This is a really bad user experience and it seems like it could be easily avoided.

EDIT: Actually it's less frequent that it happens from alt-tabbing.
I'm using the madVR shortcuts which are all [CTRL]+[ALT]+[SHIFT]+[KEY] and when I release that, the JRiver menus are focused. So when I hit spacebar to resume the video, it launches iTunes.
I just did it again immediately after writing this post, almost without even realizing it.

Just be sure to not press ALT first. Many programs, not just MC, will launch a menu when ALT is pressed by itself, and this will only clear when you hit esc, or something else.

I think it's kind of confusing the spacebar picks one of the menu choices.  Why?

So I'll try to change it for the next build:
Changed: Spacebar no longer selects a menu entry.

Thanks.
