I have been using MC for a number of years and have used tabs, but I cannot seem to figure out how to get them functioning again. Where do I look for instruct on using tabs?

Just to the right of the tab title, there is a small button.  Press that button and it will open a new tab for you.  With some skins that button is kind of invisible . Just click on the right most side of the tab title and you should hit the button and open a new tab.

Thanks for the instruction, but I have no tabs or button. I am running the latest rev, is there an option to activate tabs?

Double-check this menu:
View > Split View > Show Tabs

I found it about 11:00 last night. I knew I saw it just couldn't remember where. I tried the manual, but a search on "tabs" yielded nothing.
