I've received two emails today announcing availability of early build MC 23. Was that suppose to be meant for Windows users only?

Its in beta testing right now. Unless any serious issues are found, it should be available publicly very soon.

The Mac updates contain the same amount of changes as the Windows versions, even if they appear less frequently.

What Hendrik says is absolutely true. All of the updates that the Windows version gets are in the Mac version too.  Unless it's a feature that the Mac version doesn't have like TV.

However, I do agree that it would be really nice if there were nearly as many builds available for Mac as there are for Windows.  Unless those builds just contain fixes and changes for TV (which Mac doesn't have).

I don't know JRiver's internal build process.  But if it's not a lot of effort to issue a build for Mac, why not just do that each time a release for Windows goes out?  Just a thought.

Thanks for your continuous development effort JRiver guys.  :)

Brian.

It's not that simple.  We sometimes need to fix a bug that is specific to OSX, and until it's fixed, we won't do a build.

In fact, getting everything ready for even one OS is sometimes challenging.

You can find an early build of MC23 in a thread at the top of the new MC23 for Mac board.
