Searching Problem
« on: August 13, 2017, 11:48:39 am »

I have a field "composer". Lets say I input "Bach" for one CD, and in another CD input "Bach, Beethoven" in the composer field. Now if I search for Bach under composers, the Bach, Beethoven CD does not show up. Is there any way of inputting Bach and Beethoven under composers so that the CD shows up when I search both Bach individually and Beethoven individually..?? Hope I'm being clear!

Hi

Quite a number of the Tags in MC allow for the "Semi Colon" delimited lists, Artists, Genre etc

To see if a Tag is goto > Tools>Options>Library & Folders>Manage Library Fields

In the centre of the screen you will see the Data section and Data Type as List(semicolon delimited)

Also if you are adding Custom Tags you can make their Data Type List so that you can make multiple entries.

The only flaw is once set , as far as I know you cannot change the Data Type without deleting and recreating

Cheers
