Correct settings for iDSD
« on: September 26, 2017, 02:28:55 pm »

I have a big problem using JRiver with my iFi iDSD. I can play a couple of songs but then JrIver stops and give an error message. When I look into Windows 10, the iDSD driver is no longer there. Whether this is an iDSD problem or JRiver problem but I would like to start by ensuring that I have the right settings for iDSD in JRiver ver 21. I play standard wav or flac files riped from CDs, hires files and DSD files

Knowing what the error message says would make the problem easier to diagnose.
It sounds like the device is disconnecting from the computer, which seems most likely to be the USB connection, or insufficient USB power if it's a bus-powered device.

Thank you! I do not think it is the USB connection as such because JRiver works fine when I use the same cable to connect an iFi iDAC. But possibly it is a power problem. I will check this out.
