Check for updates 64 bit version fails
« on: September 20, 2017, 02:19:42 pm »

Windows 10
Media Center 64 bit, 23.0.60, upgrade from 32 bit version
Registration info installed and reports correct at check of Registration info in Help section

Trying check for updates reports error: There was a problem checking for updates

(Function did work in 32 bit version)

Expected error or where to start search for missing settings (firewall or similar)?

There isn't an update available on the stable channel yet.

Ok, I would then have expected a message more like "Media Center is up to date (23.060)" more like the message used in the 32 bit version.
By the way, is the 64 bit version supposed to show up in the menu of Windows 10?
As far as I can see all icons still referrs to the 32 bit version (Program (x86)).

Win10 64 bit did not install menu icons for me either.  I had to create my own and put them where I wanted.  The installer program will probably need some tweaks.
