I've been using MC 19 for several years with Win 7 and now 10 with no issues. My main pc contains my music and video files and also is home to my Main Library server which two other Win 10 pc's connect to via DLNA. Everything worked fine until a couple of months ago when I started having disconnects and hangups on JRiver, usually over-night. The culprit was JRiver on my main pc. I used Task Manager to turn it off, then restarted it normally. Then my other pcs could reconnect and play.
Settings: - Media Server set to Run on Windows Startup
- Auto-Import is OFF
- DLNA Authentication is OFF
-
Reports: - Thumbnails built 100%
- Audio Analyzed 91%
Actions taken: - All drivers are up to date
- Uninstalled MC19, rebooted and Re-installed it
- No impact or effect found on the Network
-
So, my question is "what is turning JRiver off sometimes during the day when I'm watching something, but every night when it's not being used"? Since it seems to happen only on the pc running media server, is there something going on with that app?
TIA
