Media Editor
« on: June 20, 2003, 02:20:11 am »

When Media Editor starts up it tries to create a temporary chunk file of the sound file it opens....

There seems to be no way to conrol where it does this - is this correct, or can it be done?

It is trying to open on the C drive.  Mine is small, and full of code.  All my data (and space!) is elsewhere, so Media Editor runs out of space.

Can Media Editor be told to use another drive?

If it cannot currently, please consider this as a new feature request!

Thanks

It should use the sytem defined temporary folder.  Maybe changing that would be the way to go. (I think it's user editable somehow, but I'm not sure)

Thanks Matt.

If anyone is interested-

To change the setting, use Control Panel/System.  Under the advanced tab select environment variables and change the setting for TEMP and TMP for either the user, or system, or both as desired.
