Theatre view and performances Intel Atom
« on: January 11, 2018, 04:26:39 am »

hello

I am going to buy a Windows 10 PC with touch screen in order to play audio files only (no video)
using the Theatre View of JRiver.

In this moment a friend provided to me a touch screen PC with a Intel CPU with 3500 points of PassMark benchmark (Intel i5) and it is more than perfect.

I was then planning to buy a HP x2-10 equipped with Intel Atom Z8350 with a score of just 1300.

My question is: will this HP x2-10 be enough for audio\JRiver\Theatre View audio only?

I'm able run JRiver Media Center on a Lenovo Miix 300 tablet, it has an Atom Z3735F which has a passmark of 907:

Playing audio via Theatre View works great. I'll even run it with the Milkdrop visualizer and it's fine too. Video playback works as well! Quite honestly, I wasn't expecting such a "low powered" tablet to work as well as it does but I have been pleasantly surprised!
