Importing/moving flacs and PDF bookelts for use with JRemote
« on: February 18, 2018, 10:03:36 am »

Hello,

First thank you very much for JRiver which is a very powerful player/tool.

I recently purchased MC 23 and am about to import my huge library.

Each album is stored in a folder with its booklet (pdf) and cover image (jpeg).

My goals :

- Be able to view the pdf Booklets in JRemote.

- Using “Rename, Move, Copy..” so that music files (flac), booklet (pdf) and cover (jpeg) are stored in the same destination folder (destination folder is : [genre]/[album])

I followed https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=92389.0 and some other threads.

But I have still a problem :

- If the booklet (pdf) is imported and not properly tagged with at least “Genre” and “Album” then, when using the “Rename, Move, Copy..” tool, the booklet will be stored in : “Unknown Genre/ Unknown Album”. This is not what I want.

- If I import only the music files and then use the “Rename, Move..” tool with the option “Move all files in folder (including non-imported files)” checked then all my files (flac, pdf, jpeg) will be moved in the correct folder but I won’t be able to see the booklets in JRemote.

I have around a thousand albums that I would like to "import" or "Auto-Import" and then “Move...”.

Is there a way achieve 2 goals without manually retagging all the Booklets?

Thank you very much for help.

Thomas
