transferring tag information from MP3 files to new FLAC ones?
« on: February 21, 2018, 09:33:09 am »

Hi, it's been a very long time...  :)

At some point in the last 20 years or so since I've been using MediaCenter (and Media Jukebox :) ) i remember reading a post that described the steps involved in transferring the tags from MP3 files to newer FLAC files, but I can't find anymore and I've been looking for a couple of days now... :-(

In the early days when I didn't know about FLAC yet, I ripped all my CDs to MP3. I never really had the time to re-rip everything to FLAC, but being on leave from work right now, I figured this would be the perfect time to do this.

Does anyone have the link to the post that details the process to copy the MP3 tags to the new FLAC files?

Thanks in advance.

Copy with CTRL+C
Paste with CTRL+SHIFT+V

If the number of selected tracks is the same, it should prompt you to ask which fields you want to paste.

Thanks!

That's a whole lot more easy than I remembered!

MediaCenter never ceases to impress me!
