24.0.19 (4/25/2018)

1. Changed: Exporting all playlists no longer empties the destination directory (so also removed the confirmation).

4. Changed: Files that provide a name in the tags that gets displayed in the player area will now also save that name to the Name field of the file.

10. NEW: Panel - The file play options menu was changed to a modal because dropdown menus were taking a long time to render.

1. Fixed: Added a confirmation box to "Export All Playlists..." since it will erase the selected folder and replace it with only playlists.
2. Fixed: The Streaming selection in the tree didn't go away when unchecking Features > Streaming.
3. Changed: Updated French translation (thanks p.v.).
4. Changed: Error Free mode is saved and loaded to options so the value persists between runs.
5. Fixed: Our DLNA renderer wasn't working when controlled from BubbleUPnP (and probably other DLNA controllers).

1. Fixed: Sidecar was not written for non-JPEG images if the sidecar mode was "Save in sidecar if internal tagging is not supported."
2. NEW: Quick Play will shuffle playing files if Ctrl is held down.
3. Changed: Made images use the date the file was modified as the date if there's no other date (previously importing from the clipboard would have no album, but this fixes that).
4. Fixed: Disabling the Media Center Shell Extension from 64-bit Media Center did not always work.

Very pleased the 64 bit version now works with Sony Walkman media player. However, I wish to report two bugs with MC24's management of files on the Walkman. The following relates to using the "Sony Walkman" device under the "Drives & Devices" section of the tree. (The Walkman currently features an icon with a USB logo).

1) MC24 cannot delete playlists from the Walkman - even when a list is empty. I have been using Explorer to do this job, but this is not really good enough. It should work in MC24.

2) Files cannot be deleted from the Walkman by accessing their names via a playlist saved on the Walkman. A message similar to "Deleting file(s)" appears, but the supposedly deleted file(s) remain(s). The filename shows up on the big "Details" list, yes, even after Refreshing its contents. Fortunately, files can be selected and successfully deleted using the big "Details" list, so this bug is merely an occasional inconvenience.

P.S. to my last post.
3) MC24-64bit also fails to modify pre-existing playlists that are supposed to be overwritten on the Walkman.  Additional files are copied, but these do not appear on the Walkman's playlist - presumably because the original playlist is not overwritten nor modified. If I first delete the old playlist on the Walkman, using Windows Explorer (because I can't do this with MC24-64bit),  the new, modified playlist is correctly written to the handheld device.

The above applies for MC24.0.19_64bit and MC24.0.15_64bit.
MC23_64bit versions would not even recognise the Walkman, however MC23_32bit versions were performing satisfactorily, despite some inconvenience re-establishing the list of Playlists on the left panel (tree) whenever the whole list (of Playlists) vanished following the deletion of a single playlist. This behaviour had (probably still has) some dependency on whether a pending manual sync had completed or was awaiting Transfer. I think it was more reliable if a Transfer was pending.

Running Media Server on Windows startup does not seem to be working for me.  On restart, nothing for MC is launched.
