FIXED: MC24 64-bit 24.0.30 Does Not Respond To Laptop Media Buttons; MC22 Does

The subject says it all.  I had MC22 installed on my laptop when I just upgraded to MC24.  I installed the version above.  This version is not recognizing my laptop's media player buttons like MC22 did.

I will try rebooting to see if this makes anything better.

Rebooting resolved whatever the issue was.  I noticed that the laptop media player buttons were no longer lighting up when pressed.  After rebooting, they were lighting up again.  MC24 is responding to them now.
