LAV splitter won't download and install
« on: June 07, 2018, 03:21:19 pm »

Having troubles in video playback and it says that LAV splitter won't download and install. Check network connection and permissions.

Network is fine. No firewall. AV is turned off. Ran media center with admin permissions. What should I be doing next? Running on Windows 7 pro.

Thanks in advance for any advice folks could give.

Disabling antivirus may not be enough.  Uninstall it to test.

Thank you for the reply.

I did as requested. Completely removed the AV plus ran the "remove all traces" program that AVG provides. Still won't load the lav splitter.

Any other thoughts?

Double check the firewall.

You might try your ISP.

Or try another machine.

Thanks for all the help Jim. Figured it out. Was the antivirus on the Sonicwall itself. What I don't understand is you would figure that something like the LAV splitter would be a common download so why on earth would the AV mark it as evil? Guess I gots something to write Dell about.

Thanks again.

You're welcome.  Is the Sonicwall a router?
