you have the option to install it as PORTABLE! check out the options feature when installing it. not a good idea to post emails on a board....here you could be ok but ya just never know!

Without a new license, this method does not work...If it's not difficult for you - do it for me...It is desirable that both versions are 24.0.47 x64 & x86...The link can be sent in a private message...Thanks in advance... ;)

* sigh * ... a PM won't work for this Solo-53. Read here as Jim suggested:
https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Portable_Drive_Installation

Pretty short Wiki entry because there's not much to say.

In order to make it work (speaking from experience), you need a licenced version of Windows MC and a USB drive.

I'm pretty sure of a couple of things though:
1. It's not possible to run a first install as a portable installation. The user is constrained to perform a system install with registry entries that are created as part of that process.
2. It's not a feature that's available with a Trial version of MC.
3. The portable installation can only be created using the installation routine. As in, a simple copy/paste of the portable install directory to another USB drive will not result in a functional installation on the target drive.

So, with a licenced version of MC installed to a PC, then all you need are a couple of USB drives and you should be able to achieve your plan. Just update that PC with the version your interested in by running the relevent executable that you can source from one of the posts on the Windows MC24 board.

All the best ...  ;)
