Lipsync and Asus STX II and MC Buffering Parameters
« on: September 09, 2018, 04:29:57 am »

For Live Playback I have to adjust Lipsync to a value ~ 60-80 ms. If I look into my settings in MC Live Playback Latency is set to 50 ms. Could I set that value to 0?

Asus Essence STX II:
ASIO Latency for STX II: 10 ms (24 bit)

MC:
Options->Device Settings->Buffering: 10 ms
Prebuffering: 6s
Live Playback Latency: 50 ms

Typical Rendering Times for madVr:
<10 ms

You can reduce the live playback latency, but it comes at a cost of potential reliability.
Live playback is always going to add latency that you cannot compensate for. You can only hope that your TV has a built-in processing latency (which many actually do), which you can try to match against the live latency.
