In the UK (presumably other countries too) some channels send signalling information in what used to be the overscan area
It would be great to have the option for per channel edge cropping to overcome this on affected channels only - most work well without any cropping 'hacks' and I'd rather keep 1-1 pixel mapping for HD channels.
Funnily enough, I think if JRiver did this it would be a first. AFAIK the only option on set-top boxes is to set the TV to crop, which is a pretty sorry state of affairs.
