USB Drive 300 or 301
« on: November 08, 2018, 11:20:55 am »

Can I keep a USB drive permanently attached to the ID 300 and/or the ID 302 and play my music from there?

If so, I would assume a SSD would be best?

Would the USB drive be visible to the JR Media Center Software and it always visible and easy to retrieve like the files stored on the device?

Does the JR Media Center Software come with ID 300 and ID 301?

My music would fit on the 302, but not the 300. If I got the 302 and it sit close to my amp and network, would I hear the spinning drive or would it interfere with my music quality? All of my digital music is flac 24 bit and I'm trying to maintain the sound quality. If it's noisy or would affect the quality of the music, should I get the 300 and plug an additional SSD into the USB drive?

Could someone recommend a good USB DAC to go between my Yamaha AS-701 Integrated Amplifier?

I really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! Shawn

Yes, you can use a USB drive.  There are instructions on this board.  An SSD would be the quietest solution.

The Id includes MC.
