How to setup YADB
« on: January 25, 2003, 07:52:28 am »

?
I just upgraded to WinXP Pro and installed my registered MediaJukebox version 8.0.265 and I'm trying to get track info lookup to work.  I've read the posts pissing and moaning about YADB vs. CDDB.  I just want to be able to get some info, I don't care from where.

I don't see any option to use YADB, just registration for CDDB.  How do I setup to use YADB?

It's in options. Device settings.

And you may want to upgrade to the latest build. I'm not sure if YADB was available for the early build you are using.

;D
Thanks for the quick reply...

You are right, I only have CDDB Preferences in OPTIONS - DEVICE SETTINGS.

I'm downloading "NEW VERSION 8" from the home page now.  But I thought I had already DL'ed it.  The incoming file name is the same as the one I have.  But hopefully the guts will be the newest update.  Do I need to un-install my current version before installing the update?

If your current version is v8 then no. If V7 then yes. make sure to backup your license file.
