Will Cord Hugo Work with an Id?
« on: April 08, 2019, 08:29:38 pm »

This seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. My only question is about DACs that need windows. I'm thinking it would be plug and play but need to be sure.  My main worry is a Foster HP-A4BL, which I have have problems with in the past. I will likely use my Cord Hugo as my preamp instead, which also needs a windows driver to work best.

If I can get assurance that me gear will work I'll be calling in my order.

Thanks for the help.

The Id NUC will output to a Chord Hugo without the need for any drivers as the Id NUC is not using the Windows OS.

While the cord is a far better dac I'm leaning towards using the Fostex.  The Fostex matches up better with the amp I have on order. The Fostex is balanced and switchable from headphones to speakers.  The cord sounds outstanding with my headphones but a pain to work with at times.

I have only been able to get the Fostex to work with windows so far. I believe I have a workaround so I just have to let my mind settle to be sure this is what I really want.
