Repeated Crashing
« on: June 18, 2019, 09:33:48 am »

Hi, my name is Nick, I purchased the upgrade to MC25 this morning and every time I open it the program crashes after about 10-15 seconds.  It does this regardless of what function I am trying to use in the program.  I've had several previous versions of MC and have never had this problem before.  I tried some of the troubleshooting ideas on your website and those didn't help.  Below I've listed part of the problem report that was generated.  Thanks for your time and I appreciate your help.

Could we get a log (Help > Logging)?  Look here for details:
https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Logging

You might also try turning off auto-import because it's probably a bad file causing the crash.

Thanks.

Thanks for your quick reply.  I checked and auto-import was not turned on.

It's crashing on this file:
/Users/ncardano/Music/Testament/Testament.-.The.Whole.Discography.(1987-2008).(12CDs).[EAC-FLAC-APE].by.Calimeero/Testament - 1988 - The New Order [EAC-APE]/Testament - A Day Of Reckoning.apl

Would you be able to make a copy available to matt at jriver dot com?  I know it's big, but that's definitely the crash.

Thanks.

I think we just reproduced a MAC crash parsing APL files.  Debugging underway.  We'll let you know what we find.

Thanks.

Got it figured out.  The APL code was using a '\\' for the slash instead of the proper APE_FILENAME_SLASH define.

Thanks for the help :)
