PLEASE HELP iPod and BB King
« on: May 07, 2003, 02:55:44 pm »

For some reason, Media Center 9 and my iPod (30 gig) don't like BB King.

I'm using the trial of the software and I really like it a lot.   I tried to transfer my music, however, and had an issue with the "Riding with the King" CD.  I transfered 2200-some songs with no problem, but it failed on every track from this album.  I tried renaming the tracks, album title and artist but it made no difference.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried any other Blues Artist such as Muddy Waters, Luther Allison... ?? ;)

It might well be that Ipod does not like to play the blues !

more seriously,

Maybe there's something wrong in those files. Did you try to remove tags before transfering ?

Could it be that this CD was ripped into WMA format instead?  I know it sounds like a given, but make sure that this CD was ripped into .mp3.

I tried re-ripping the CD and it still doesn't work.  Any other program has no problem transfering these files to the iPod.

iPod doesn't take WMA files....

Any more thoughts?

JShorr,

How are you transferring the files (synch or drag and drop)?

If you are synching, try dragging and dropping one of the files to your iPod and see if it transfers.

If you can, email me one of the files and I will test it.
